The Mercy Center is making plans to go international!
The Mercy Center hopes to extend the 13-week Sabbatical Program, and Vitality Program, and Spiritual Director’s Training Program to the Archdiocese of Kingston, Jamaica. With the assurance of the Missionaries of Mercy and other volunteers, we hope to make a permanent home in Jamaica so we can serve all the islands of the Antilles and West Indies. In June of 2009, Fr. Bill made tentative plans for Mercy Center programs to begin in Ireland and England. We hope to support Sr. Elna and Sr. Dolly in their home for abused girls and orphans in the Philippines. Fr. Joe, from Uganda, has asked us to help his Diocese train men and women as inner healing providers and spiritual directors.
The Mercy Center for Healing the Whole Person continues to remain a center dedicated to the healing ministry of Jesus Christ, an oasis for personal growth, and a therapeutic community dedicated to seeking and sharing the gifts of healing, wholeness, and well-being.
With the on-going help of the Missionaries of Mercy volunteers, the Mercy Center has been able to reduce overall expenses and keep our five-buildings and campus in good shape.
Please visit our completed “Meditation Gardens” that now include water, fire, and desert. Yet to be completed are the last two gardens of wind and earth. These meditation gardens are being created so that our family, friends, and program participants can enjoy our campus and find a quiet place to meet God in the stillness and beauty of our new gardens.
As we look to 2010 we pray for good health and a joy filled spirit for all our staff and volunteers. Thank you to those religious communities, monasteries and dioceses that continue to support us by encouraging their members to attend our programs and those who have become a host sight for our Spiritual Director’s Training Program and Rich in Mercy Institute for Spiritual Companions. Thank you to all our benefactors, for without your financial support we would not have accomplished 21 years of service and ministry. Thank you to our friends and program participants – you have shown us how to grow and continue to search for the gifts of healing, wholeness and well-being.
In His Mercy,
Rev William Jarema, Founder & Director
